What we collect

Almost nothing. Cloudflare Web Analytics tells us how many people visited which pages. It uses zero cookies, stores zero personal information, and we couldn't identify you from it even if we wanted to. We picked it specifically because it's the least creepy analytics tool that exists.

What lives in your browser

Two things: your dark mode preference and your shopping cart. Both are saved on your device only, the same way your browser remembers your preferred language or font size. That data never leaves your computer. We never see it. If you clear your browser data, it's gone.

Newsletter

If you sign up for our newsletter, we store your email address and nothing else. Every email has a one-click unsubscribe link. We will never share your email with anyone, sell it, or use it for anything other than sending you the updates you asked for.

Affiliate links

When you click an affiliate link on this site and buy something on Amazon, Amazon knows you came from us. That's how they calculate our commission. We don't receive any information about you from Amazon. We can see that "someone bought a bag of perlite," not "John from Denver bought a bag of perlite."

What we will never do

  • Install Google Analytics or any tracking script
  • Add a Facebook Pixel or any social media tracker
  • Use cookies for tracking or advertising
  • Serve targeted ads (or any ads, period)
  • Sell, share, or trade your information with anyone
  • Build behavioral profiles of our visitors
  • Send you emails you didn't sign up for
